During this intensive period, with travel and accommodation expenses fully covered by the Goethe-Institut London, the curators will gain unlimited VIP access to the Frieze London and Frieze Masters fairs. The selection committee that will evaluate the candidates’ projects and visions consists of figures who shape the direction of contemporary art. Alongside Eva Langret, Director of Frieze EMEA, and Leonie Mir, Head of VIP Department at Frieze EMEA, Mario Schruff, Visual Arts and Music Programme Manager guiding Goethe-Institut London’s artistic programs, and Director Nicolas Ehler sit on the jury panel to determine this year’s winners. The committee expects candidates not just to list their past achievements and exhibitions, but to explain in a clear, bold, and fresh language how this intensive experience in London will guide their current research and future exhibition practices.
