On the banks of the River Thames, under the orange glow of the sunset with the iconic silhouette of the London Eye in the background, are you ready to explore the UK’s underground music scene? We certainly are! One of the most exciting open-air gatherings taking place as part of Riverside Sessions—the summer festival celebrating Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary—is bringing the riverside to life tomorrow evening!

South London-based music collective Tracks on Tap takes the stage at the Riverside Terrace on Thursday evening, August 13, 2026, at 18:00 with their first major outdoor event specially curated for Southbank Centre: “Tracks on Tap: A Journey Through UK Music.” Best of all, admission is completely free and requires no tickets!

The Power of Independent Music: Who is Tracks on Tap?

Founded by passionate artists in South London in 2018, Tracks on Tap is an independent music movement centered on community spirit and positive energy, bringing fresh talent from across the UK to the stage. Curated by young people, this special evening promises a musical celebration open to everyone who views “youth not as an age, but as a state of mind.”

The Rhythm Builds: The Evening’s Lineup & Schedule

Lasting approximately 4 hours, this musical journey will move at a pace blending nostalgic underground classics with new-generation rhythms:

  • 18:00 – DJ Tee Ali (Opening Session): An energetic opening packed with both old and new school hits to get the crowd filling the riverbank moving on one of the warmest days of the year.

  • 18:30 – Community Stage (Support Acts): Live performances from some of the Tracks on Tap collective’s most talented names—Righteous Reck, Dia Day, and a surprise special guest.

  • 19:30 – Main Stage: UK Underground Journey: Taking place in collaboration with The Five Points Project, this headline set will bring the most iconic tracks of the UK underground music scene to the stage with fresh arrangements you’ve never heard before. We’ll witness how old-school anthems have shaped a new generation of artists.

  • 21:00 – DJ Tee Ali (Closing & Sunset): The night’s finale accompanied by the setting sun on the banks of the Thames, an excellent selection of music, and a fantastic atmosphere.

An Unforgettable Summer Evening by the River

While music lovers of all ages are welcome at this event, content after 21:00 may appeal more to adult audiences (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult). Packed with crowds, dancing, and high-tempo rhythms, this riverside escape is a fantastic opportunity to shake off the week’s fatigue and feel the spirit of London’s independent music!

Head down to the Southbank Centre tomorrow evening and join in this free-spirited rhythm on the banks of the Thames!
