VeneKlasen gallery in London brings together canvases by eight artists from different periods and artistic approaches under the title “A Little Sun” until September 12, 2026.
A Conversation Between Historical Legacy and Contemporary Painting
The exhibition establishes a broad aesthetic line stretching from radical examples of 20th-century avant-garde to contemporary painting today. Francis Picabia’s experimental world pushing traditional boundaries, along with Georg Baselitz and Markus Lüpertz’s monumental, inverted figurative language in German Expressionism, form the exhibition’s historical ground. Accompanying this line are Per Kirkeby’s canvases layering geology, nature, and architecture.
