A Contemporary Sculpture Oasis on the Mediterranean Coast: Goodman Gallery Selection at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc

Goodman Gallery presents a captivating open-air sculpture pop-up exhibition against the Mediterranean view in the landscaped gardens of Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, one of the most iconic addresses on the French Riviera. Meeting art lovers until October 18, 2026, this special presentation brings together the sculptures of William Kentridge and Yinka Shonibare—two prominent, powerful voices of the African continent and the contemporary art world—in a site-specific dialogue.

In the exhibition, Yinka Shonibare features hand-painted bronze sculptures (Material (SG) V and Wind Sculpture in Bronze (SG) III) that evoke the dynamic movement and rich texture of African textiles. William Kentridge appears before the viewer with Paper Procession, a bold and abstract work constructed from painted aluminum panels. Marking the first public display of these works by both artists in France, the presentation stands out as an elegant extension of Goodman Gallery’s mission to bring master names of African and diaspora art to the international stage.
