Shakespeare in the Squares Returns to London’s Green Spaces with “The Taming of the Shrew”
The open-air theatre experience returns to London’s green spaces with Shakespeare in the Squares. Taking place from June 4 to July 12, 2025, the event will feature performances of Shakespeare’s classic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew. This year’s production adds modern touches and pop songs, aiming to deliver a fun and engaging experience for audiences.
Performances will be held in various beautiful parks and squares across London, including Crystal Palace Park (June 6), Cleveland Square Paddington (June 10-11), Kensington Gardens Square (June 21), Montagu Square Marylebone (July 1), Camden Square (July 6), and Fortune Green West Hampstead (July 10). For those who enjoy open-air Shakespeare, an additional option, Antony and Cleopatra, will also be presented at the Greek Theatre in Walthamstow in July.
