August 13 is finally here, and as the NO-26 team, today we’re setting our sights straight on London Bridge, plunging into the gritty yet captivating atmosphere of 1920s Birmingham! Peaky Blinders Underworld—the official and world’s first interactive experience based on one of the most iconic series in television history—opens its doors today. And we have dedicated our entire agenda to stepping into the dark empire of the Shelby family, testing our loyalty, and seeing if we have what it takes to join the “gang.”
Summarized by the show’s creator Steven Knight as giving “fans the chance to experience the series they love through a brand-new prism,” this venue is bound to pull in not just die-hard fans of the show, but anyone looking for an extraordinary adventure in the streets of London Bridge.
The first step of our plan is to head into the legendary Garrison Tavern, reconstructed faithfully down to the very last detail. In this bar—which is completely free to enter—we’ll order a cold beer specially brewed by Shelby Co. alongside live music and good old Small Heath hospitality, taking the edge off our afternoon appetite with a traditional steak and ale pie. Meanwhile, our whiskey lovers are already itching to try the Scotch and Irish whiskey tastings.
However, The Garrison Tavern is merely the tip of the iceberg. Behind the pub’s hidden door, an illicit underground world awaits us where the rules change completely.
The moment we step through The Garrison Tavern’s hidden door, the 1920s atmosphere will swallow us whole. As we freely roam the thematic streets and secret rooms, here is our game plan:
Garrison Lane & Chinatown: We’ll run into live actors in the neighborhood’s shady streets and strike deals with characters who have hidden agendas.
The Bookies (Illegal Betting Parlor): Standing alongside the family’s underground bookmakers, we’ll bet on the horse races and put our courage to the test.
Small Heath Fairground: Showing off our aim at the fairground’s classic target games, we’ll carve out our names among the sharpest-eyed regulars in town.
After tackling numerous interactive challenges and puzzles, it will become clear whether or not we get accepted into the “syndicate.” But as the NO-26 team, we don’t intend to keep this experience just in our memories. Before leaving the venue, we plan to get an authentic Peaky Blinders tattoo—the ultimate badge for those who prove themselves in Underworld (okay, okay, I might be exaggerating a bit)—to immortalize the day. After checking out the exclusive collection items on our way out, we’ll wrap up the night back at The Garrison Tavern, raising a toast to the family’s honor.
As Tommy Shelby once said:
“Today is the day we become respectable people. But first, we handle the dirty work.”
