The world premiere of 13 Going on 30 – The Musical is fast approaching, and producers have just shared the first rehearsal photos, giving us a sneak peek at the cast ahead of its opening at the Manchester Opera House. This eagerly awaited production, inspired by the beloved 2004 romantic comedy, is set for a limited engagement starting September 21, 2025.
Leading the ensemble are West End stars Lucie Jones (Waitress, Les Misérables) as Jenna Rink and David Hunter (Waitress, Kinky Boots) as Matt Flamhaff, with Grace Mouat (SIX, & Juliet) playing Lucy Wyman. The supporting cast is equally talented, featuring Caleb Roberts, Andrew Berlin, Dominic Andersen, Ross Dawes, Suzie McAdam, and Iván Fernández Gonzáles.
Produced by ROYO and Revolution Studios, alongside a team of notable producers including executive producer Jennifer Garner, the musical’s book is penned by the original film writers Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa. The score is crafted by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, known for their work on Broadway’s First Date.
The creative team brings together some of the industry’s most esteemed talents, with award-winning director Andy Fickman (Heathers) at the helm and choreography by Jennifer Weber (& Juliet). The production design involves a talented group including set designer Colin Richmond, sound designer Adam Fisher, and lighting designer Howard Hudson.
