Fickle Eulogy: A Poignant Solo Show on Grief, COVID, and the Turmoil of Misinformation

July 4, 20252 min read

La Nix Productions, after a triumphant debut at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, is set to bring Fickle Eulogy to Camden Fringe in August 2025, following an enthusiastic response from audiences. This powerful solo performance tells the story of a woman confronting her mother’s unexpected death from COVID-19 amid a world riddled with conspiracy theories, misinformation, and fear. Inspired by true events, Fickle Eulogy explores the unpredictable and complex nature of grief.

In this intimate show, we meet Ann as she prepares to deliver a heartfelt eulogy for her mother, Sue—who, skeptical of science, chose not to get vaccinated and ultimately succumbed to COVID-19. As the funeral approaches, Ann grapples with her sorrow, frustration, and guilt, embodying different characters and reliving memories in a whirlwind of humor, raw emotion, and unflinching truth. What starts as hesitant procrastination evolves into a poignant examination of loss, love, and the challenge of letting go.

Limited performances are available, so don’t miss out on this unique solo experience. Secure your tickets now at thehopetheatre.com or camdenfringe.com.

“Fickle Eulogy is a raw and fearless exploration of grief that reminds us how deeply connected we are. Through one woman’s story of losing her mother, we’re invited to laugh, cry, and reflect on our shared humanity,”
