What if we told you that on a beautiful Sunday in May, Central London will completely succumb to hat madness? The city’s most stylish, creative, and perhaps most eccentric people are preparing to hit the streets wearing their finest headgear!
Who is Participating? The London Hat Walk brings together professional milliners, vintage and retro enthusiasts, collectors, cosplay and historical reenactment fans, and craft hobbyists in a massive parade. Of course, we shouldn’t forget the lovers of innovative and bizarre hats; there is a very high probability you’ll see at least one person walking with a chicken on their head in this crowd!
Route and Atmosphere The gathering takes place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM by the riverside in front of the Tate Modern. Led by a marshal, the crowd will embark on a leisurely and pleasant stroll along the river toward Tower Bridge, lasting approximately one hour. This walk has a single purpose: to show off creative hats and mingle with new people!

A Brief History So, where did this head-turning walk originate? It all began in Barcelona in 2014. Since then, the hat walk concept has spread to dozens of cities worldwide, from Lagos to Buenos Aires and Seoul to London.
