Formed in 2023, MOULD is a trio that burst onto the UK scene at breakneck speed, crafting “fast and direct” indie rock tailored for short attention spans.
Their journey – kicking off with the self-released single Birdsong and the EP on Nice Swan Recordings – gained serious momentum in 2025 when they signed to 5DB.
MOULD has one clear message: “Spread the MOULD.”
In other words: spread the fast, filthy, restless rock.
“Float” is the track that crystallises exactly this ethos: a short, explosive indie-rock punch that barrels forward without giving you a moment to breathe.
No long intros, no drawn-out bridges, nothing unnecessarily inflated – just a straight shot to the body.
Post-punk energy, lo-fi friction, and that signature couldn’t-care-less attitude from the Brit indie tradition… All of it compressed into two minutes, flowing like condensed high-voltage electricity.
MOULD isn’t here to tell grand stories; they’re here to make you feel it right now. Impulsive, rapid, restless – the kind that fits today’s rhythm perfectly.
Apartman No:26 Note:
MOULD’s music is indie rock’s answer to the short-attention-span era: instant impact, lasting trace.
“Float” is a micro-anthem built purely on rhythm and impulse, stripped of all unnecessary decoration.
The band’s energy feels like the harbinger of a “short-format rock” wave in the new UK scene.
