Having made a name for themselves with impressive shows like Driftwood and How Not To Drown, ThickSkin is celebrated for promoting exceptional talent from the North West. This latest production is penned by Tim Foley, a renowned playwright based in Manchester. Foley is known for his works such as Electric Rosary (Royal Exchange Theatre), Driftwood (UK tour), and contributions to the Doctor Who audio series.
It Walks Around The House At Night seamlessly blends dark humor with unnerving tension, ensuring a gripping experience for all who dare to attend. The story follows Joe, portrayed by George Naylor (known for Second Best at Riverside Studios and The Mousetrap in the West End). Desperate for work, Joe accepts an unusual job as a ghost in an old countryside manor after a fateful encounter with a wealthy stranger. What begins as a simple gig quickly spirals into a night filled with unforeseen horrors lurking in the shadows.
Joining Naylor is Oliver Baines, who plays The Dancer, further amplifying the eerie atmosphere of this haunting tale. Audiences can expect plenty of jump scares and moments that will keep them on the edge of their seats.
