EA has announced the official soundtrack for the highly anticipated Skate game, featuring more than 100 tracks from a diverse lineup of artists, including Little Simz, Denzel Curry, and Turnstile.
Set to launch in Early Access later this year, Skate 4, also simply known as Skate, is generating buzz not only for its gameplay but also for its extensive and evolving soundtrack. According to a press release, players can expect a mix of chart-toppers and underground gems, all curated to enhance their skating experience in the vibrant world of San Vansterdam. Every season will bring fresh energy, ensuring that the music keeps players engaged as they explore.
Here are the first six artists confirmed for the Skate soundtrack:
- Little Simz
- Denzel Curry
- Turnstile
- MF Doom
- Beard
- Earth, Wind & Fire
Matthew Smith, the audio director, emphasized the soundtrack’s significance in skateboarding culture, stating, “Music has always played a vital role, fostering shared experiences and getting you in the zone.” He added that the soundtrack will continuously evolve, providing a platform for music discovery as players skate through the city.
James Seamaster, the head of creative, pointed out that the game is crafted to resonate with both veterans and newcomers to the series. The ambition is to create a virtual world where every player feels at home and encouraged to explore various musical genres.
