Jehnny Beth Tackles “Cognitive Overload from Endless Scrolling” in Her Dynamic New Single ‘High Resolution Sadness’

August 9, 20251 min read

Jehnny Beth has released her latest single, ‘High Resolution Sadness’—check it out below.

This powerful track serves as a sneak peek into the Savages frontwoman’s upcoming solo album, ‘You Heartbreaker, You’, set to be released on August 29 via Fiction (pre-order/pre-save here).

“I wrote this track with the wild energy of a mosh pit in mind, shining a light on the cognitive overload from endless scrolling on our phones,” Beth explained about the relentless and chaotic nature of the song.

‘High Resolution Sadness’ comes with an official split-screen video, vertically shot and directed by Beth alongside her longtime creative partner, Johnny Hostile. Watch it here:

This single follows Beth’s recent releases, including ‘Broken Rib’, ‘Obsession’, and ‘No Good For People’.

Next month, the vocalist will perform a series of intimate in-store shows in the UK in collaboration with Rough Trade, following her appearances opening for Queens Of The Stone Age at their upcoming shows at Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus.

She has also announced a 2025 UK and European headline tour, featuring two dates in London. Grab any remaining tickets here.
