Stratford East is excited to announce its 2025 Open Day, a special event marking the theatre’s 140th anniversary. Set for Saturday, July 26, from 11 AM to 4 PM, the Open Day welcomes locals and visitors alike for a day filled with free activities for all ages.
Activities include:
- Workshops: Participate in various sessions such as Audition Technique led by Artistic Director Lisa Spirling, Making Work for Young Audiences with Associate Artistic Director Jade Lewis, BSL in Theatre with Deaf actress Caroline Parker, Spoken Word Workshop with Russenï Fisher, Comedy for Kids by Hilarity Academy, Street Dance with Bismark Anobah, and Stage Combat from Fight It Out.
- Heritage Tours: Discover the fascinating history of Stratford East on a behind-the-scenes journey, including a glimpse of the newly updated archive.
Throughout the day, enjoy a performance from Stratford East’s new community choir, face painting from NY Glorious, Marionette Puppet Making with designer Alicia Britt, Drag Queen Story Time with That Girl, and the chance to contribute to Stratford East’s 140th Anniversary short films.
