The world-renowned synth-pop trio Nation of Language has announced the release date for their fourth album, Dance Called Memory. Set to be released on September 19 via Sub Pop, the album marks the band’s first full-length record under the label. The group also shared the album’s lead single, “I’m Not Ready For the Change,” across all digital platforms.
In a statement, Nation of Language’s frontman, Devaney, referenced reading about Kraftwerk’s approach to music, saying: “Kraftwerk wanted to strip all humanity out of their music. But Eno often talked about wanting to make synthesized music that felt distinctly human. In this era rapidly defined by AI replacing human creators, I’m focusing more on the human condition, and I need the underlying music to support that.”
