London is set to transport audiences back to the vibrant 1950s this summer with Secret Cinema’s highly anticipated GREASE: The Immersive Movie Musical. Running from August 1 to September 7, 2025, Evolution London in Battersea Park will transform into the iconic Rydell High, providing fans with an extraordinary chance to step into the beloved classic film.
This groundbreaking production, created in collaboration with TodayTix, offers a spectacular two-and-a-half-hour experience that seamlessly merges film and reality. For the first time, the entire movie will unfold around the audience, featuring a talented cast of 30 performers and a live band that harmonizes perfectly with the on-screen action. Attendees can look forward to electrifying live renditions of iconic songs like “You’re The One That I Want,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “Summer Nights.”
The initial cast has been announced: Stephanie Costi will portray Sandy, with Liam Buckland as Kenickie and Lucy Penrose as Rizzo, ensuring dynamic performances from a skilled ensemble. Guests will have the opportunity to explore iconic locations, meticulously recreated, including a full-scale outdoor fairground, the Frosty Palace, the Auto Shop, and the Beauty School.
This creative vision is brought to life by an award-winning team, led by Director Matthew Costain and Set Designer Tom Rogers. Additionally, renowned choreographer Jennifer Weber, fresh off two Tony Award nominations for her work on & Juliet and KPOP, will infuse classic Grease choreography with contemporary hip-hop elements, promising an exhilarating experience.
Tickets are available in a tiered format: General Admission (Free Roam) starting at £49, VIP Seated (Roam and Return) from £79, and Premium Immersive (Join the Cast) at £149, the latter allowing participants to learn choreography and engage with the cast during the show. This innovative production is just the first of three summer events from Secret Cinema at this London venue, with more iconic titles to be unveiled.
