Milly Alcock returns as young Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon Season 2. The story takes place after Laenor fakes his death and a time jump occurs, during the period when Rhaenyra marries Daemon. In this season, Rhaenyra orders a horrific murder plot that leads to the deaths of two of Alicent’s grandchildren. Following this, Daemon attempts to seize Harrenhal, a place known for its dark history.
In the third episode, “The Burning Mill,” young Rhaenyra appears in Daemon’s dreams, while in the episode “The Red Dragon and the Gold,” Daemon accuses her of betrayal. Showrunner Ryan Condal emphasized the importance of keeping Alcock’s return a secret, noting that the actress made time for filming despite her busy schedule. Alcock’s performance can be watched on HBO Max, though the release date for Season 3 has not yet been announced.
