White Cube Mason’s Yard, one of London’s key art venues, is preparing to host one of the most powerful voices in contemporary art: Sarah Morris, in March 2026. This exhibition not only presents the artist’s new works but also celebrates the deep and fruitful 30-year collaboration between Morris and the gallery.
Sarah Morris’s artistic language decodes the complex relationships between networks, typologies, globalization, and architecture. While translating the rhythm and structure of metropolises into geometric abstraction on canvas, the artist invites the viewer to a kind of “code reading” of how the modern world operates.
Politics Between Reality and Abstraction
Spanning a wide range from new paintings to drawings and films, the exhibition deepens Morris’s new language around space and politics. The artist emphasizes that architectural structures are not merely physical entities but symbols of power and communication networks. According to Morris, her works are “self-generating” structures open to interpretation, movement, and change.
The vivid colors and sharp lines Morris employs evoke in the viewer the sensation of being part of a vast system. This visual language represents both the complexity and the inevitable order of global networks. The artist’s films and paintings work together as a whole, shifting the viewer from passive observer to active participant in the fluid structure of the modern world.
This journey — stretching from the vertical architecture of the city to the horizontal complexity of data networks — once again confirms Sarah Morris’s visionary perspective that has continued for thirty years.
