My Chemical Romance Fans Think They’ve Cracked the Code for New Music Release

September 4, 20253 min read

Fans of My Chemical Romance are buzzing with excitement, convinced they’ve decoded hints dropped by the band regarding their next music release.

They’ve found clues during the band’s current Long Live The Black Parade tour, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of their influential 2006 album. Speculation about new music has ramped up after the band wielded a fake time clock prop at their shows, where each member pretends to clock in as fictional members of The Black Parade.

A close-up shot of this clock from their recent Chicago concert shows it set to 12:12, prompting fans to predict a new release date of December 12.

Further fueling the speculation, Gerard Way took a sip from a flask marked with “Keposhka,” a fictional language created just for the tour. Detail-oriented fans attempted to decipher the text, which they believe reads “MCR. G. Way. 101386.” While they quickly dismissed the theory that this could be Gerard’s birthdate, they speculated that 1986 aligns with this year’s calendar, suggesting new music might arrive on October 13 instead.

However, some fans are skeptical about the October date, as it doesn’t fit the usual Friday release pattern, and they remain uncertain about the validity of the Keposhka code.

In other announcements this month, the band revealed two upcoming shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 10 and 11, 2026. News about these events was initially teased through a playful video reminiscent of an old TV game show, quickly causing a flurry among fans eager to secure tickets.

Earlier this year, My Chemical Romance wrapped up their UK reunion shows, performing in multiple cities including Milton Keynes and Glasgow. During their current tour, they’ve been showcasing The Black Parade in full, alongside some rare tracks from that era. They’ve also seized the opportunity to debut a new song titled “War Beneath The Rain” and surprise fans with a cover of The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.”

The lineup for their shows features an array of special guests, including groups like Violent Femmes, 100 Gecs, Wallows, and Evanescence.

In addition to their performances, the band recently released a deluxe anniversary edition of their second album, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, celebrating its 21st year.
