On September 25–26, 2025, an extraordinary experience awaits Londoners along the shores of Royal Victoria Dock. French fire artists Compagnie Carabosse, in collaboration with Royal Docks communities, bring to life the unforgettable fire installation Rekindling.
This captivating performance, accompanied by music, sound recordings, and local stories, reflects the region’s past and its hopes for the future. Once the world’s largest enclosed port during the Industrial Revolution, playing a pivotal role in London’s rise as a global city, Royal Docks is now being reborn as a hub of entrepreneurship, culture, and innovation. Rekindling offers a visual and emotional interpretation of this transformation.
Having enchanted thousands during the 2016 London’s Burning event for the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London, Carabosse returns to the capital for the first time in years. Hundreds of fire points, lights reflecting on the water, live music, and community voices combine to create an atmosphere that will linger in memory.
