Star-Studded Cast Revealed for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s ‘Dream Ballets: A Triple Bill’

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is excited to announce the full cast for its upcoming production, “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Dream Ballets: A Triple Bill,” set to mesmerize audiences from June 19th to 22nd, 2025. This distinctive theatrical experience will feature reimagined interpretations of the legendary dream ballets from Allegro, Oklahoma!, and Carousel, crafted by three of the UK’s finest musical theatre choreographers—Julia Cheng, Shelley Maxwell, and Kate Prince.

Artistic Director Drew McOnie shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I am thrilled to welcome three exceptional groups of dancers to Regent’s Park for what promises to be a unique celebration of dance and music. I can’t wait to see how Shelley Maxwell, Julia Cheng, and Kate Prince breathe new life into these timeless Rodgers & Hammerstein dream ballets for our audience at the Open Air Theatre.”

In Julia Cheng’s reimagining of Allegro, audiences will be treated to performances by Asmara Cammock, Jonadette Carpio, Paris Crossley, Jevan Howard-Jones, Hannah Joseph, and Stuart Thomas. For Shelley Maxwell’s vibrant interpretation of Oklahoma!, the cast includes Tanisha Addicott, Chris Akrill, José Alves, Tania Dimbelo, Nahum McLean, and Vanessa Vince-Pang. Lastly, Kate Prince’s innovative choreography for Carousel will showcase talents such as Deavion Brown, Tommy Franzen, Nethra Menon, Hannah Sandilands, Elijah Smith, and Malachi Welch.

Accompanying these remarkable performers will be the 26-piece Sinfonia Smith Square orchestra, featuring orchestrations by Tony Award-winning Simon Hale. The creative team also includes Joshie Harriette (Lighting Designer), Nick Lidster (Sound Designer), Alex Parker (Musical Supervisor & Conductor), and Yann Seabra (Costume Designer), ensuring a visually and sonically captivating production.
