Exciting news for artists and curators! Luxembourg Art Week, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Artcontemporain.lu, has announced an open call for its innovative ‘Capsules’ exhibition program. This unique initiative aims to transform unused commercial spaces in Luxembourg into temporary artistic installation venues. Artists and curators are invited to submit project proposals for window installations to be showcased from mid-October to the end of November 2025.
What is the ‘Capsules’ Program?
The ‘Capsules’ program seeks to turn vacant storefronts and commercial spaces into vibrant platforms for contemporary art, bringing creative expressions to a wider audience. These temporary installations offer artists the chance to display their work in unconventional settings, fostering interaction with the urban environment.
Who Can Apply?
This call is open to contemporary artists and curators, with no application fees. There are no requirements for gallery representation or geographic restrictions, making it accessible to a diverse range of creators. Proposals from all visual art disciplines are welcome, and collaborative projects are also encouraged.
Support for Selected Artists
Organizers will provide substantial support for selected projects, including coverage of travel, accommodation, and exhibition setup (staging) costs. Additionally, chosen artists will receive a dedicated budget to bring their projects to life.
Application Process and Deadlines
Artists and curators interested in submitting their projects must complete the online application form by June 15, 2025, the final deadline.
