Iron Maiden has officially announced an exciting headline show at Knebworth for the summer of 2026, featuring support from The Darkness, The Hu, and more.
Just last week, the band revealed plans for a European stadium tour next year, an extension of their two-year ‘Run For Your Lives’ anniversary tour. This announcement hinted at a major UK performance, and now it’s confirmed that Iron Maiden will headline the iconic Knebworth venue on Saturday, July 11. A curated lineup of opening acts, including The Darkness, The Hu, Airbourne, and The Almighty, will also take the stage.
The event promises to be a weekend to remember, featuring the largest edition of Eddie’s Dive Bar ever, as well as Maiden-themed food and unique stalls. Festivities will kick off for fans with camping tickets on Friday, July 10.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 AM on Saturday, September 27. You can secure yours here.
Iron Maiden’s manager, Rod Smallwood, said, “We felt the need to bring back the ‘Run For Your Lives’ show to the UK next summer due to the overwhelming demand for tickets this year. Knebworth is the perfect venue for this, given its rich history with concerts featuring legends like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Queen. It allows us the outdoor space and control to create a truly special experience for our fans.”
He added, “We’re taking over the entire grounds to turn it into a ‘Maiden World’ for everyone to enjoy!”
Justin Hawkins, frontman of The Darkness, shared his excitement: “We’re thrilled to support Iron Maiden at Knebworth! They’re one of our all-time favorite bands, and it’s a dream to perform alongside them. Expect us to bring our energetic tunes as we share the stage!”
Earlier this year, Iron Maiden encouraged concert-goers to limit phone camera usage during their performances to respect the band and fellow fans. The band’s recent shows also featured new touring drummer Simon Dawson, who stepped in after longtime drummer Nicko McBrain announced his retirement from touring last year. McBrain’s health issues have prompted him to take a step back, leaving a significant impact on the band’s legacy.
