Zach Bryan took the stage at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium this past weekend, captivating fans with a surprise appearance by none other than Bruce Springsteen. Check out the fan-captured footage of their performance below.
During a remarkable night on July 20, Bryan was 16 songs into his headlining set when he introduced Springsteen, affectionately known as “The Boss.” The duo, accompanied by Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon, delivered an unforgettable rendition of Springsteen’s 1982 classic “Atlantic City,” a standout from his album Nebraska.
Welcoming his special guests, Bryan said, “One of them is Caleb Followill from Kings of Leon, one of the sweetest men I’ve ever met. And the other is one of the greatest men to ever exist, a New Jersey native, Mr. Bruce Springsteen.”

As the evening progressed, Springsteen returned to the stage to perform “Revival,” closing out the amazing show.
This moment marks nearly a year since Springsteen and Bryan first teamed up for “Atlantic City” during a performance in Philadelphia last August. That show also featured their collaboration “Sandpaper,” which is part of Bryan’s album The Great American Bar Scene released in July 2024.
Earlier in June, Bryan captivated audiences at BST Hyde Park, supported by artists such as Dermot Kennedy and Mt. Joy. During that show, he also invited a dedicated fan on stage to perform “Heading South” after the fan made daily viral posts requesting the opportunity.
As for Springsteen, he recently concluded a record-breaking tour, amassing an impressive $729.7 million and selling nearly 4.9 million tickets. In May, he made headlines for his outspoken criticism of Donald Trump during a concert in Manchester, which prompted a response from Trump himself.
Springsteen also recently released a live EP titled Land Of Hope And Dreams from the opening night of his upcoming 2025 UK and European tour, featuring his critical speeches about the Trump administration.
In other news, Springsteen has confirmed the existence of an electric version of Nebraska and shared his thoughts on Stephen Graham’s portrayal of his father in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.
