Last night (June 3), Wolf Alice performed an unreleased track during a cozy gig in Paris.
The English rock band is currently on a series of small shows across Europe leading up to their performance at Primavera Sound later this week, where they’ll be stepping in for Clairo.
The new song, titled ‘The Sofa,’ showcases a slower, more reflective side of their upcoming album, ‘The Clearing,’ set to release on Friday, August 29, via Sony Music. You can pre-order the album here.
Wolf Alice is set to perform tonight at TivoliVredenburg Cloud Nine in Utrecht, Netherlands, followed by a show at Schwuz in Berlin on June 16. Find any remaining tickets here.
Additionally, the north London quartet recently debuted another new song, ‘Thorns,’ along with their album’s lead single, ‘Bloom Baby Bloom,’ during their warm-up shows in Ireland.
In a five-star review, NME praised ‘Bloom Baby Bloom,’ noting its themes of personal growth and self-assertion. The review highlighted the powerful lyrics: “But I bloom, baby bloom / Watch me and you’ll see just what I’m worth.”
The Mercury Prize-winning band has also announced a major tour across the UK, Europe, and North America, starting on September 10 in Atlanta, Georgia, with UK dates scheduled from late November to early December.
