From May 25 to July 20, 2025, the exhibition “Das ist nicht so, das ist ganz anders!” opens its doors on the third floor of the Struwwelpeter Museum’s gallery, captivating visitors with the dreamlike illustrations accompanying Erwin Grosche’s poems and stories for children.
Author and cabaret artist Grosche speaks of a practical rain hat that makes it rain, introduces a dangerous tiger chair, invents new holidays, and designs a “Caution-Caution” sign. Together with illustrator Rüngeler, Grosche boldly, wittily, and colorfully turns the world upside down.
This special exhibition in the museum’s gallery invites visitors to experience the poems through its installations, encouraging them to write their own poetry or create drawings. With questions like “Should everyone have a shouting bucket?” or “Is grain gymnastics the new trend sport?” the exhibition offers an interactive experience.
