Taylor Swift has finally unveiled the release details for her eagerly awaited 12th album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl.’ Read on for more information.
Earlier today, Swift provided updates about ‘The Life Of A Showgirl,’ which she initially announced on August 12. Following the announcement, she also curated a playlist for the album, hinting at collaborations with notable producers Max Martin and Shellback.
In her first announcement, Swift’s website indicated that pre-orders for the album would ship on October 13, 2025, implying that the actual release date would be earlier. At that time, the cover art was not yet revealed.
Now, Swift has disclosed all the essential information about ‘The Life Of A Showgirl,’ confirming its release date as October 3. As previously indicated, the album will be co-produced by Swift herself, along with Max Martin and Shellback. The album features 12 tracks, including one collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track, which will also close the album.

Speculation about the album began in May when Swift announced that she regained control of her entire music catalog by purchasing her final masters from Shamrock Holdings. Fans noted a particular lyric, “all the times I was thiiiiiiiiiiiis close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through,” highlighting the 12 “i’s” as a potential nod to a follow-up from her 11th studio album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’
Before revealing the album, Swift had launched a mysterious countdown clock on her website that came to an end at 12:12 AM ET on August 12. After the countdown, her site was updated with pre-orders for the album alongside clips featuring her first appearance on her boyfriend’s podcast, New Heights, where she announced the album title.
