Sabrina Carpenter Set to Host and Perform on ‘SNL’

September 20, 20252 min read

Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up to take on the dual role of host and musical guest when Saturday Night Live returns next month.

Riding high on the release of her new album, Man’s Best Friend, the pop sensation will make her hosting debut in the third episode of the iconic show’s 51st season on October 18. Although it’s her first time as a host, Carpenter previously appeared as a musical guest during season 49 and participated in the show’s 50th-anniversary celebrations earlier this year, where she amusingly sang an off-key rendition of “Espresso.”

Season 51 kicks off on October 4 with Bad Bunny as host and Doja Cat making her SNL debut as the musical guest. Following that, SNL alum Amy Poehler will return to host on October 11, with Role Model as her musical guest.

Carpenter has also been announced as a headliner for next year’s Coachella festival, performing on both Fridays alongside Justin Bieber and Karol G. Coachella 2026 is set for April 10-12 and April 17-19, and tickets can be purchased here.

Man’s Best Friend received a four-star review from NME, with Nick Levine noting, “Musically, this album isn’t markedly different from its predecessor, but it includes a few more country-inflected tracks mixed in with up-tempo disco and light funk.” He adds that Carpenter continues her trend of pairing catchy melodies with sharp-witted lyrics that critique the flaws of imperfect partners.

On a lighter note, Carpenter recently joked about her label’s lack of investment in her career, expressing surprise that only 200 vinyl copies of her debut album were produced.
