October Drift Announces Farewell Tour

August 11, 20252 min read

October Drift has officially announced their decision to disband, with a series of farewell shows scheduled for the end of 2025.

The indie rock band hailing from Taunton, Somerset—comprised of Kiran Roy, Daniel Young, Alex Bispham, and Chris Holmes—shared this bittersweet news via an Instagram post at the end of July.

“This is a tough message to write,” they shared. “With love, joy, and hard work, we’ve been lucky to build an amazing community filled with incredible people throughout this journey. That’s why we wanted you to be the first to hear: it’s time to bring October Drift to a close.”

The band has a few shows left this summer, and they will conclude their run with three final performances later this year. After gigs in Bristol and Manchester in late November, they will wrap up at London’s The Garage on December 2. You can find tickets for the shows here.

Upcoming Shows for October Drift:

  • AUGUST
    • 14 – Cambridge, The Portland Arms
    • 15 – Norwich, Rock N Roll Circus
    • 22 – Portsmouth, Victorious Festival
  • SEPTEMBER
    • 5 – Maastricht, Zero For Three Festival
  • NOVEMBER
    • 25 – Bristol, Thekla
    • 30 – Manchester, Gorilla
  • DECEMBER
    • 2 – London, The Garage

The band’s statement continued: “After touring tirelessly for over a decade and producing three albums we’re incredibly proud of, this band has always been about more than just the music.”

“It’s been about four best friends chasing a dream, building a community around that vision, and connecting with those who see themselves in our music. We’ve poured everything we have into this band—physically, emotionally, and financially. But the time has come to close this chapter.”

They concluded by expressing gratitude for the festivals they’ll participate in and hinted at announcing a few farewell shows later this year to express their appreciation for the support and love they’ve received.

October Drift released their debut album, Forever Whatever, in 2020, followed by I Don’t Belong Anywhere in 2022, and Blame The Young last year.
