Lewis Capaldi has unveiled his latest single, “Survive,” just in time for his rumored surprise appearance at Glastonbury 2025 this weekend. Take a listen below.
In this heartfelt track, Capaldi expresses his journey of overcoming challenges, including his battles with mental health and Tourette’s Syndrome. He sings poignant lines like, “Most nights, I fear that I’m not enough / I’ve had my share of Monday mornings when I can’t get up / But when hope is lost and I come undone / I swear to God, I’ll survive / If it kills me to / I’m gonna get up and try / If it’s the last thing I do.”
“Survive” marks Capaldi’s first new release since the extended edition of his 2023 album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, which dropped unexpectedly in January, featuring tracks like the single “Strangers.”

Fans are buzzing with excitement over the possibility of Capaldi returning to the stage at Glastonbury, especially since rumors of a secret set have circulated since the festival’s lineup came out, revealing slots marked ‘TBA’ for surprise acts.
Recently, speculation intensified as fans reported seeing billboards in Glasgow and Castle Cary, near Glastonbury, displaying lyrics from “Survive.”
One mysterious TBA slot at Glastonbury is scheduled for 4:55 PM on Friday, right before performances by Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro, and The 1975. This could signify Capaldi’s triumphant return to the festival, following his performance in 2023 when he faced difficulties due to Tourette’s.
The shorter TBA set, lasting until 5:30 PM, has fans thinking Capaldi might complete his performance from two years ago. During that set, he received overwhelming support from the audience, with many moved by his vulnerability. One mother reported the moment as “amazingly powerful,” stating she was in tears watching her son relate to Capaldi’s struggle.
After the 2023 festival, Capaldi announced he would take time off to prioritize his health, sharing that he was still adapting to the effects of Tourette’s. He described the decision to cancel his tour as one of the hardest choices of his life.
Glastonbury 2025 kicks off tonight, featuring headline performances from The 1975 and Loyle Carner, along with artists like Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, Wet Leg, Supergrass, and Self Esteem. Two TBA acts are also set to perform, with one slot thought to be filled by Lorde.
