Art on Paper, New York City’s renowned fair showcasing the creativity inherent in paper-based art, is returning to Pier 36 on Manhattan’s Lower East Side for its eleventh year during Armory Arts Week, running from September 4–7, 2025. The event is famous for its vibrant atmosphere, innovative displays, and engaging public programming, featuring over 100 national and international galleries that highlight the remarkable versatility and strength of paper as a medium.
This year’s fair continues to celebrate New York’s rich cultural landscape, its active community of collectors, and the artists who are pushing the boundaries of what paper can achieve today. Attendees can look forward to a diverse array of works, including intricate drawings, paintings, prints, large-scale paper installations, and experimental mixed-media projects, showcasing the many possibilities of this unique medium.

The mini book fair, BOOKSMART, returns for its third edition in partnership with the Center for Book Arts (CBA), featuring 33 institutions showcasing curated selections of artists’ books that explore the form in various ways, from tactile, physical objects to conceptual pieces.
