The exhibition continues until January 30, 2026. If, as you enter the new year, you want to question whose gaze it is and lose yourself in visual stories, this exhibition is just for you.
Is a painting merely made of paint, or is it an act of storytelling?
Larkin Durey brings together nine artists who use painting and drawing as narrative tools in the “Winter Salon Show,” running until January 30. The common denominator in this exhibition: the figure. Yet these figures are not simply standing there as aesthetic elements; they all speak, question, and challenge.
The exhibition takes the viewer on a journey between two different poles. On one side are bold stances that defy dominant power structures and conservative ideologies; on the other are much more intimate, whisper-like narratives about heritage, identity, and memory…
While pushing the boundaries of materials, these works ask the vital question: “Who controls the gaze?”

The exhibition’s lineup consists of exciting names in contemporary figurative art: Asad Faulwell, Habib Hajallie, Massoud Hayoun, Andrew Maughan, Tiyana Mitchell, Lavar Munroe, Marc Padeu, Fa Razavi, and Anders Sunna.
Each of these artists carries fragments from their own cultural heritage and personal memory, turning the gallery space into a polyphonic storybook.
If you’re in London, don’t miss stopping by Larkin Durey’s salon on these cold winter days to come eye-to-eye with these powerful figures.
