During her recent performance at Glastonbury, Young captivated the audience at the Woodsies tent. As NME noted in their review of the festival, a lot has changed for her since she last appeared at Glastonbury in 2022. Now an established star with a performance at the BRITs and over 700 million streams for her single “Messy,” the moment on stage proved to be a significant milestone for Young.
She introduced live renditions of new tracks like “One Thing” and “Not Like That Any More,” with the highlight being the emotional ballad “You Noticed.” Young appeared visibly moved by the audience’s enthusiastic response.
Earlier this year, she was nominated for Best Album and Best Song Musically and Lyrically at the Ivors but left with the Rising Star Award, marking a pivotal moment in her burgeoning career.
Her hit single “Messy” has been one of the standout tracks of 2025, resonating with listeners through its themes of self-worth and resilience. “It’s surreal to speak about a song that stemmed from my own experiences,” she shared with NME. “It captures a relatable feeling; so many people struggle with the notion of not being enough.”
Expressing gratitude for her connection with fans, she acknowledged the wealth of talented artists around the globe, particularly celebrating women songwriters. “I feel blessed to touch people with my music,” she remarked.
