Music enthusiasts in London can look forward to an exciting lineup of music festivals this weekend, with options ranging from vibrant day parties to the much-anticipated return of Raindance at Fabric.

Highlights of This Weekend’s Festivals
Pub in the Park returns in 2025, merging food and live music at Gunnersbury Park. This weekend’s lineup includes performances by Blur2, Noases, Chris Moyles’s 90s Hangover DJ Set, Norman Jay, the Soul II Soul Soundsystem, the Jay Rayner Sextet, Ministry of Sound Classical, and the Amy Winehouse Band.
Mighty Hoopla will feature a star-studded lineup including Kesha, Ciara, JADE, Kate Nash, Pixie Lott, Jojo, Loreen, and the Vengaboys, all taking the stage at Brockwell Park. This pop festival is famous for highlighting emerging artists and celebrating LGBTQ+ favorites.
Soul Session – Day Party at LDN East offers a more relaxed vibe starting Saturday at 2 PM and running until midnight, perfect for those looking to enjoy a day of music without exhausting their Sunday. Tickets are available for this event, featuring 18 DJs from London and beyond.
Raindance returns to Fabric, featuring over 30 artists across three rooms, showcasing a variety of genres including old skool, hardcore, rave, jungle, drum and bass, acid, and early house.
Pioneer Plays Festival at Forest Road Recreation Ground in Ilford features three stages dedicated to Afro House, AfroTech, and Amapiano.
Festival Scrutiny in London
London’s festivals are currently under scrutiny due to legal challenges regarding planning permissions and concerns for local parks and communities. Local resident Rebekah Shaman, part of the Protect Brockwell Park group, has raised concerns over the use of park land for more than 28 days a year without necessary planning consent.
Recent court rulings highlighted that Brockwell Park is set to host events for up to 37 days, raising questions about the legality of this decision. Lambeth Council is now considering applications for event permits to ensure compliance with regulations.
Despite the ongoing legal issues, organizers have confirmed that all scheduled events for this summer, including the Lambeth Country Show, will proceed as planned. Brockwell Live reassured the public that nothing will be canceled due to the court’s decision, while campaigners continue to seek legal advice on the matter.
