Neighbor, would you like me to read the news to you?

Go Live Theatre has announced an exciting collaboration with Kevin McCollum, David Furnish, Jamie Wilson, and Nederlander Theatres to present the first-ever relaxed performance of The Devil Wears Prada, a new musical. This event will take place at the Dominion Theatre on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:30 PM. With an anticipated audience of up to 2,000, this will mark the largest relaxed performance yet for Go Live Theatre.

This partnership aims to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for children, young people, and families with learning difficulties, special educational needs, and disabilities. The performance will feature tailored adjustments to accommodate neurodivergent attendees, including those on the autism spectrum and individuals with sensory or communication challenges. As part of the relaxed format, there will be subtle modifications to sound and lighting, along with specially trained front-of-house staff available throughout the event to provide assistance.

Sita McIntosh, Chief Executive of Go Live Theatre, expressed gratitude for the support of Kevin McCollum, David Furnish, Jamie Wilson, Nederlander Theatres, and The Garek Trust in bringing this relaxed performance to life. She stated, “At Go Live Theatre, we believe that theatre should be accessible to everyone. It’s essential to enable children and families, who may struggle to attend traditional shows, to enjoy what many of us take for granted. Having experienced numerous relaxed performances, I can personally attest to the joy and excitement they bring to the audience; it’s a truly special experience.”

Thanks to the generous support from The Garek Trust, tickets will be offered at significantly reduced prices, ensuring that families who otherwise might not have the opportunity can enjoy the theatre.

Go Live Theatre has a longstanding commitment to accessibility. Since its founding as Mousetrap Theatre Projects in 1997, the charity has provided over 250,000 children and young people with the chance to experience live theatre, a figure that continues to grow each year.

The organization focuses on children and young people from disadvantaged or vulnerable backgrounds, as well as those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), for whom a trip to the theatre might otherwise be inaccessible due to economic, physical, or social barriers.

Go Live Theatre introduced the first relaxed performance of a West End show in 2012 with Shrek the Musical, and has since offered numerous productions, including Sister Act, Wicked, Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker!, 101 Dalmatians, The Play That Goes Wrong, and Mamma Mia!
