Yungblud has released a deeply emotional trailer for his forthcoming documentary, Are You Ready, Boy?—check it out below.
Filmed at the iconic Hansa Studios in Berlin, where David Bowie recorded his legendary song “Heroes,” the documentary follows director Paul Dugdale (known for Adele: One Night Only and Elton John: Live From Dodger Stadium) as he captures Yungblud in a live performance of his new album, Idols, presented for the first time.
The documentary features a one-take performance of each track and provides a glimpse into a transformative phase of the artist’s career. The 30-second trailer showcases Yungblud grappling with his confidence and sense of self. “I feel like I’m sailing through uncharted waters,” he reflects, adding, “I need to figure out who I am as an adult and as a man.”
Are You Ready, Boy? will be in cinemas on August 20 and 24, with tickets available now—find more details here.
Director Paul Dugdale expressed, “It was a privilege to capture Yungblud during such a chaotic yet rewarding time of change. Dom fully committed to the filmmaking process, and I’m really proud of what we accomplished together.”
Yungblud recently launched his fourth album, Idols, by taking over the Milton Keynes Bowl for his second annual Bludfest and made headlines as he stepped in to headline Belgium’s Rock Werchter Festival after both Sam Fender and Kings Of Leon had to withdraw due to illness.
He surprised fans at Black Sabbath’s final concert at Birmingham’s Villa Park, where he performed a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s classic “Changes,” joined by a supergroup featuring Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme, II from Sleep Token, and Adam Wakeman, son of rock legend Rick Wakeman.
Unfortunately, he had to cancel shows in Liverpool and Dundee last week due to tonsillitis but generously provided money behind the bar in Liverpool for fans to enjoy drinks in his absence.
Looking ahead, Yungblud has announced a UK and Ireland arena tour slated for April 2026, with stops in Dublin, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham, London, and Manchester. Additionally, he will be touring North America and Europe later this year.
