One of London’s most popular outdoor art events, Canary Wharf Winter Lights, returns in 2026 to celebrate its 10th anniversary! Transforming the city’s modern skyline into a mesmerizing gallery of light, this year’s festival invites visitors on a surreal journey under the theme “DREAMSCAPE” until 31 January 2026.
Chosen especially for this milestone tenth edition, the theme aims to draw visitors into dreamlike, spiritual, and uniquely human experiences. Throughout the festival, 16 spectacular light installations will shimmer among Canary Wharf’s docks and skyscrapers.
Some Highlighted Works:
- Out of Body Experience (Alaa Minawi): This installation celebrates dance as a fundamental part of being human, presenting dancing figures in a dream-like form.
- In Bloom (Kumquat Lab): An interactive piece that highlights the importance of pollination in our ecosystem. It invites visitors to create rhythms and melodies together.
- Trispheric Garden (REELIZE.STUDIO): A surreal garden that turns Cabot Square’s pool into a “lake of dreams,” filled with geometric forms and light reflections.
- Sanctuary (Ithaca Studio): Designed for those seeking escape from the city’s crowds—a peaceful refuge surrounded by coloured lights and soothing sounds.
