September 7, 20251 min read

London’s Science Museum invites us on a thrilling voyage into the depths of the universe and the incredible history of space exploration with its brand-new exhibition, Space. Opening on Saturday, September 20, 2025, this free gallery showcases extraordinary artifacts that highlight humanity’s journey to the stars. This new permanent exhibition serves as both a tribute to the past and an inspiring vision for the future.

Located in the museum’s West Hall, the exhibition brings together some of the most iconic milestones of space exploration. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to see two human-crewed spacecraft side by side: the Apollo 10, which orbited the Moon in 1969, and the Soyuz, which traveled to the International Space Station in 2015. This unique arrangement allows a direct comparison of the evolution of space technology over the years.

The exhibition also features significant artifacts such as an RL10 rocket engine, the radio headset used by Neil Armstrong during the Apollo 11 mission, and the Sokol space suit worn by Helen Sharman, the first British astronaut. These objects embody the courage and determination of space explorers. One of the most striking items is a three-billion-year-old Moon rock brought back to Earth during the Apollo 15 mission.

This exhibition offers a free and unforgettable experience, not only for science and technology enthusiasts but also for anyone captivated by the mysteries of space and humanity’s spirit of discovery.
