Universal Studios has begun preparations to develop a new theme park in the Bedfordshire region of the United Kingdom. The park will feature themed areas based on iconic franchises such as The Lord of the Rings, James Bond, and Paddington.
Construction is expected to begin in 2026. However, since planning permissions are still pending, an exact timeline has not yet been confirmed.
Notably, the project will not include any attractions related to the Harry Potter universe, as that theme is already covered by the existing Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden. The new theme park is currently scheduled to open its doors to the public in 2031.
