Art sometimes settles into a space and sparks a new conversation with it. Manitoga / The Russel Wright Design Center hosts the work of glass artist Jeff Zimmerman in the exhibition Jeff Zimmerman: Glass Light Nature, presented in collaboration with R & Company. Set in this unique environment designed by the Wright family to harmonize with nature, the exhibition blurs the boundaries between art, nature, and architecture.
Manitoga, a national historic landmark and one of the 20th century’s iconic modern homes, provides an inspiring context for art. Zimmerman’s illuminated and decorative glass sculptures, crafted with organic forms and natural patterns, are placed in the site’s indoor and outdoor spaces, dissolving the divide between these worlds. His works are more than mere objects; they engage with the space through movement, texture, and light.
The exhibition offers visitors a meaningful artistic experience while amplifying the dialogue between nature, human-made environments, and designed objects. Zimmerman’s sculptures, integrated with light, glass, and form, merge with Manitoga’s wooded gardens, inviting viewers into a world where art exists not only in galleries but in every moment of life.
