Michael Harrison, representing Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals, has announced that Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic production, Starlight Express, will extend its run at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre for the sixth time, now booking performances through April 2026.
The cast of Starlight Express features talented performers including Jeevan Braich and Gavin Adams as Rusty, Jade Marvin as Momma McCoy, and Olivia Ringrose as Greaseball. The ensemble also includes Asher Forth as Electra, Sophie Naglik as Pearl, Georgia Pemberton as Dinah, Jaydon Vijn as Hydra, along with a dynamic group of featured performers.
The story unfolds as a child’s toy train set comes to life, racing towards the title of the fastest engine in the world. With little hope of victory, Rusty draws inspiration from the legend of the ‘Starlight Express.’
Having captivated over 30 million audience members globally, Starlight Express stands as a remarkable theatrical event, inviting spectators of all ages into a thrilling world of speed, music, and storytelling. The show features an impressive cast of 40 who perform beloved songs from musical theatre, including AC/DC, “Make Up My Heart”, “Light at the End of the Tunnel”, and the iconic title track.
Additionally, Hal Leonard has exclusively published a piano/vocal book featuring 17 songs from this dazzling London production, including new tracks like “I Do” and “I Am Me,” along with fan favorites such as “Crazy,” “Pumping Iron,” and “Make Up My Heart.”
Starlight Express, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Richard Stilgoe, is directed by Luke Sheppard, with a creative team that includes set designer Tim Hatley, costume designer Gabriella Slade, and lighting designer Howard Hudson. The production also benefits from the new orchestrations by Matthew Brind in collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as musical supervision by Matthew Brind and David Wilson.
With exhilarating new choreography by Ashley Nottingham, the show welcomes back Arlene Phillips as creative dramaturg.
The Starlight Auditorium, located within the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, is a cutting-edge cultural hub in one of London’s most vibrant neighborhoods, just 12 minutes from central London.
