Oasis paid tribute to the victims of the Minneapolis church shooting by dedicating their song “Live Forever” during their first concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
As part of their North American “Live ‘25” tour, the band took a moment during the performance to express their condolences to the families affected by this heartbreaking event. “I want to dedicate this next tune to the kids from Minneapolis,” Liam Gallagher announced to the audience before launching into the song.
Last week, a tragic shooting occurred outside the Church of the Annunciation, claiming the lives of two children and injuring 18 others. The shooter subsequently took his own life.

This isn’t the first time Oasis has honored those lost. During the opening night of their tour in Cardiff, they dedicated a song to the late Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota, and later at Wembley Stadium, they honored Ozzy Osbourne with “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star.”
The MetLife Stadium concert featured the same setlist of 23 songs that the band has performed throughout their tour. Noel Gallagher revealed recently that he prefers to keep the setlist consistent for the duration of the tour.
Oasis is set to perform a second night at MetLife Stadium before continuing on to Pasadena and Mexico City. Following those shows, they will return for two additional concerts at Wembley Stadium, with plans to tour South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil before the year ends.
