Mitski has officially announced her upcoming concert film, The Land, in collaboration with Trafalgar Releasing. This highly anticipated film was captured over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in September 2024 and will hit theaters for a limited run starting October 22, 2025.
Tickets for The Land will be available for purchase beginning September 15, and fans are encouraged to check Mitski’s website for details on locations and showtimes.
Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, expressed his excitement, stating, “Mitski is a visionary artist and a captivating performer. Her first concert film is incredibly special, and we’re honored to bring it to cinema audiences worldwide.”
In this concert film, Mitski performed with a seven-piece band, featuring choreography by Monica Mirabile and stage design by Andi Watson. Directed by Grant James and mixed by her long-time producer Patrick Hyland, The Land serves as a vibrant showcase of her artistry.
The film supports her latest album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, released in 2023, which she has toured extensively, including a standout performance at All Points East in London.
Far Out described the album in a four-and-a-half-star review as an exploration of love’s complexities, revealing deep emotional layers in just 11 powerful tracks that reflect both internal struggles and external observations.
