Acclaimed Nigerian-American actress Idia Aisien is set to make her highly anticipated UK stage debut in the poignant play Dear Father, which will run from June 12 to June 14, 2025, at the Fireworks Factory, Woolwich Works, London. With over 1.3 million followers on Instagram and a notable media presence across Africa, Aisien brings her celebrated talents to the UK stage, joining industry icons Richard Mofe-Damijo, Kunle Remi, and Tobi Bakre. This production represents a significant new chapter in her artistic career, captivating audiences worldwide.
Aisien first gained attention in 2020 for her standout performance in the Nollywood remake of Nneka the Pretty Serpent. Her portrayal of the title character was both powerful and nuanced, earning accolades from critics and viewers alike. This breakout role announced her as a significant new voice in African cinema, recognized for her poise, intelligence, and willingness to tackle emotionally resonant narratives.
Prior to her full transition into acting, Idia established a successful career as a model and television presenter, collaborating with brands like BMW, Black Opal, Lancôme, Schweppes, and Nivea.
