Rehearsals have officially begun for the much-anticipated West End adaptation of the Menier Chocolate Factory’s critically lauded production of Mel Brooks’ The Producers. Today, producers David Babani, Nica Burns, Max Weitzenhoffer, Kevin Salter, Seaview, Creative Partners Productions, and 2ontheaisleBDWY announced the full cast set to bring this hit musical to the Garrick Theatre.
This beloved satire, featuring book, music, and lyrics by Mel Brooks and co-written by Thomas Meehan, is directed by Patrick Marber. It will run from August 30, 2025, to February 21, 2026, with a press night planned for Monday, September 15.
Leading the cast are Andy Nyman as the conniving Max Bialystock, Marc Antolin as the anxious Leo Bloom, Trevor Ashley as Roger DeBris, Raj Ghatak as Carmen Ghia, Harry Morrison as Franz Liebkind, and Joanna Woodward as Ulla.
They will be joined by a talented ensemble that includes Alex Lodge (Storm Trooper), Kelsie-Rae Marshall (Hold-Me-Touch-Me), Megan Armstrong, Olly Christopher, Gabrielle Cocca (Dance Captain), Nolan Edwards, Michael Franks, Matt Gillett (Resident Director), Esme Kennedy, Sinead Kenny, Josh Kiernan (Assistant Dance Captain), Kate Parr, Emma Robotham-Hunt, Pierce Rogan, Hollie Jane Stephens, Jermaine Woods, and Ryan Pidgen.
After a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, this marks the first major London revival of The Producers, promising the trademark “equal opportunity offender” humor that earned the original Broadway production a record twelve Tony Awards. Audiences can look forward to witnessing the hilariously catastrophic efforts of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they attempt to stage Broadway’s biggest disaster—only for it to backfire spectacularly to thunderous applause.
