Showcasing over 200 exceptional haute couture pieces across 14 themed rooms, the exhibition immerses visitors in the vibrant world of Dolce & Gabbana.
The event explores various references—from Italian opera and folklore to architecture and traditional theater—while emphasizing a pivotal theme: extraordinary craftsmanship. “I discovered not only different techniques but also learned about Italian culture and its many cities,” shared one attendee.
Another remarked, “My style may not match Dolce & Gabbana’s, but I was unexpectedly moved during my visit. What’s on display isn’t created by machines; it’s the work of human hands.”
The exhibition prominently features elements of Sicily—the birthplace of Domenico Dolce—which consistently inspires the brand, along with other iconic Italian locales.
A Naples native expressed, “This exhibition beautifully encapsulates Italy. The pieces reflect the essence of our country. I appreciated the focus on Sicily and Sardinia, alongside other regions. I even recognized Naples, and seeing a painting of Sophia Loren was truly a highlight.”
The Rome installment of the exhibition introduces three new rooms, including one dedicated to Italian cinema. More than just a fashion showcase, From Inspiration to Creation celebrates the people, places, and passion that define Italy’s rich cultural heritage, all through the eyes of two of its most prominent fashion icons.
