📅 On view through October 25, 2025

As part of Berlin Art Week 2025, 68projects hosts the first solo exhibition in Germany by American artist Edgar Arceneaux (b. 1972, Los Angeles). SHARDS emerged from the artist’s residency in Berlin during the summer, in collaboration with Villa Aurora & Thomas Mann House.

Known for his multilayered practice spanning painting, performance, video, and installation, Arceneaux deconstructs and reimagines historical narratives. In these new works, he explores themes of “fragmentation” and “reassembly.” Drawing inspiration from Berlin’s layered history and contemporary cultural rhythms during his time in the city, Arceneaux makes visible fragmented images, memory fragments, and fragile connections.

Two special performances, one at the opening and another during the exhibition’s run, will offer a vivid reflection of Arceneaux’s interdisciplinary approach.

SHARDS is not just an exhibition; it’s an invitation to reflect on fragmented histories, broken images, and rekindled connections.
