Folk rock icon Frank Turner will take the stage at Celtic Irish Pub on March 16, captivating music fans in Istanbul for the first time. With ten studio albums, the British musician has built a devoted fanbase beyond his core audience, gaining acclaim for hits like “The Way I Tend To Be,” “Recovery,” and “I Still Believe,” which featured on the Ted Lasso soundtrack last year.
Before Turner’s debut Istanbul performance, Slovak musician, writer, and producer Peter Aristone will warm up the crowd. Having collaborated with artists like James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers and Melanie C of Spice Girls, Aristone promises a delightful set. The night will kick off with Özgün Semerci, frontman of Second, a leading band in Turkey’s punk rock scene. Continuing his solo career with the album A Nightmare on Clawhammer Banjo and various EPs, Semerci will bring high energy to the evening’s opening.
