Fifth Harmony has fans buzzing about a possible reunion after their official X account posted a cryptic message, marking their first social media activity in seven years.
Since going on an indefinite hiatus in 2018, the band’s lineup includes Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane, following Camila Cabello’s departure in 2016. Their last official post was back in July 2018, when they wished Brooke a happy birthday. However, on August 31, they shared a message simply stating “#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree,” leaving fans wondering what it means.
Reactions from fans varied; one asked, “Is the account hacked again or is this for real?” while another excitedly wrote, “WAITTTT ARE Y’ALL REUNITING FOR REAL? IT WASN’T JUST A RUMOR?”
Earlier this year, The Hollywood Reporter cited sources familiar with the situation who indicated that the group might return in 2026 as a four-member ensemble without Cabello. This reunion is rumored to coincide with the 10th anniversary of their second album, 7/27, and their hit single “Work From Home.” Plans for a documentary about their return and a new tour are also reportedly in the works.
In an October 2023 interview, member Ally Brooke hinted that they were “working on something,” but last June, Normani addressed the rumors directly. When asked about Brooke’s comments, she said, “I don’t know. Not to my knowledge. But I definitely see that being a possibility in the future. That would be a special moment for sure.”
Normani also shared her reflections on her time with the group, mentioning she had “suppressed” some memories but acknowledged that their journey was not entirely negative: “We struggled, but it was also really beautiful in what we accomplished.”
Since the hiatus, the remaining members have pursued solo careers, with Normani releasing her much-anticipated debut album, Dopamine, in June.
