A live-action adaptation of Life Is Strange has been confirmed, and fans are rallying behind Emma Myers, known for her role in Wednesday, to play the lead character, Max.
Originally released in 2015, the Life Is Strange game follows Max Caulfield, a photography student who discovers she has the ability to rewind time—an ability she uses to save her childhood friend Chloe. As the duo investigates the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, they uncover unsettling secrets about their town, ultimately facing a life-altering decision that will impact their futures.
Life Is Strange developed a dedicated fanbase, leading to several sequels and spin-offs. In 2022, Double Exposure, a direct sequel to the original game, was launched.
According to a recent report from Variety, the new adaptation is headed to Amazon Prime Video. The series will be written by Charlie Covell, known for her work on Kaos and *The End of the F**ing World, who will also act as showrunner and executive producer.

Covell expressed her excitement, saying, “It’s an incredible honor to adapt Life Is Strange. I’m a huge fan of the game and look forward to sharing Max and Chloe’s story with both longtime players and new viewers.”
While there’s no update on the release date or cast, fans have taken to social media to express their desire for Emma Myers to portray Max. “Emma Myers as Max is a perfect match. Amazon, just give her whatever she needs,” one fan declared on X.
In a playful response, another fan posted, “Am I crazy for thinking there’s a real chance Emma Myers could play Max?” Myers herself recently mentioned it would be “really fun” to participate in a Life Is Strange adaptation, further fueling the speculation.
